Ukrainian-Polish startup Molfar Defence Technologies received €1.5 million in investment from Swedish company Front Ventures.

Polish startup Molfar Defence Technologies has raised €1.5 million for defense developments.

Polish company Molfar Defence Technologies received an investment of €1.5 million from Swedish Front Ventures, which will be part of a larger €2 million funding. These funds are aimed at expanding the engineering team and strengthening cooperation with the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

The attracted investments will allow Molfar Defence Technologies to expand the engineering team, especially in the fields of radar technologies and signal processing. The company is also opening an office in Ukraine to strengthen cooperation with the Ukrainian army, which is involved in testing the startup’s technologies.

In addition, Molfar plans to conduct field tests in Ukraine and NATO countries as part of the strategy to transition from prototypes to deployable systems. Front Ventures’ CEO Jonas Malmgren confirmed the Swedish side’s intention to assist the startup in establishing production and scaling the rollout of its technologies.

Molfar is a leading company in the field of developing tactical radar systems for detecting small unmanned aerial vehicles. Its technologies are capable of recognizing and classifying targets in combat conditions thanks to unique signal processing algorithms and structural target representation systems.

Front Ventures, founded in 2012, specializes in defense technologies and has a portfolio of successful projects in this field. The company recently opened an office in Lviv, signaling its long-term plans in Ukraine.
