In Poland, 10 Ukrainians are accused of human trafficking, pimping, and money laundering.

In Poland, 10 Ukrainian citizens were detained on suspicion of involvement in an organized criminal group engaged in human trafficking and money laundering through cryptocurrency exchanges.

The arrests took place in mid-April in Warsaw, Łódź, and Wrocław as part of an operation by Poland’s Central Police Investigation Bureau with the participation of the Cybercrime Unit. According to the investigation, the suspects legalized illegally obtained funds through cryptocurrency exchanges. During the searches, electronic equipment, data carriers, and documents were seized. Additionally, law enforcement found drugs, including marijuana, amphetamines, MDMA, and LSD.

Investigators claim the group was involved not only in illegal financial operations but also in human trafficking. The court has imposed a preventive measure of arrest on three detained Ukrainians. In total, 30 individuals are involved in the case, of whom 12 had previously been convicted.

This case highlights the problem of using financial instruments and semi-legal businesses for money laundering, creating risks for market stability and public safety. Experts emphasize the need to strengthen the regulation of the cryptocurrency market to prevent its use by criminals.
