Toloka.vc invested in Lucid Bots for robotics development

Ukrainian venture syndicate Toloka.vc invested $745,000 in the American company Lucid Bots, which specializes in developing robots for performing high-altitude tasks. The investment is aimed at scaling production and enhancing drone autonomy.

Toloka.vc plans to use the capital to develop a Robotics-as-a-Service (RaaS) subscription model, which involves payment for using robots as a service. The syndicate’s general partner, Taras Kyrychenko, emphasized the strategic importance of investing in a sector that, according to him, fundamentally changes the global economy.

Lucid Bots, located in the USA, controls most of the robot manufacturing processes. It develops industrial devices that run on its proprietary operating system LucidOS. Among the company’s products are the Sherpa drone for facade cleaning, the ground robot Lavo Bot, and the Power Tether module for continuous power supply. By 2025, the company doubled its revenues, reaching figures over $10 million.

Toloka.vc partner Taras Kyrychenko indicates that achieving revenues of more than $100 million could make Lucid Bots an attractive target for strategic investors or prepare the company for an IPO. With new financial infusions, the company aims at a potential market valued at $300 billion.

Leading specialists believe that by transitioning Lucid Bots to a subscription service model, it may improve the accessibility of technology and reduce the cost of implementation. The robotics sector continues to actively develop, creating new opportunities for companies and investors.
