Searches of the NABU detective: the PGO stated that he was monitoring the prosecutor’s office building

A NABU employee was searched due to possible surveillance on the Prosecutor General’s Office

The National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine reported searches at its employee’s residence following the possible illegal use of technical means for surveillance on the Prosecutor General’s Office.

On the morning of November 3, an unknown man installed surveillance cameras opposite the PGO building which were later removed by another person. The prosecution claims that these cameras enabled comprehensive gathering of information about the movements of staff and their vehicles, violating privacy and safety. A criminal investigation was initiated over the potential illegal use of special equipment for collecting information.

During the search, conducted due to martial law and the need for immediate response, it was established that the accused is a NABU employee. He confirmed his involvement in collecting the equipment but could not provide clear explanations regarding the legality of his actions, citing orders from management.

In turn, NABU stated that during the search, their employee was allegedly subjected to physical harm, raising concerns about the legality of the prosecution’s operational actions. The situation underscores the importance of adhering to legal procedures and confidentiality during the performance of official duties, especially in times of conflict.
