The government approved the electricity tariff for the population.

The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine decided to support households with electric heating by setting a preferential electricity tariff for them from October to April, while maintaining the current electricity tariff until the end of October 2026.

According to a statement by Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko, published on Telegram, the tariff for households with electric heating will be 2.64 UAH per kWh if consumption does not exceed 2,000 kWh per month. For consumption beyond this norm, the standard tariff of 4.32 UAH per kWh will apply. This decision aims to reduce the financial burden on families that rely on electricity as their primary heat source.

At the same time, it has been confirmed that electricity prices for domestic consumers in Ukraine will remain unchanged at 4.32 UAH per kWh until October 31, 2026. This decision was made amidst pressure from international partners demanding that utility tariffs be brought to a market level, especially within the framework of cooperation with the International Monetary Fund.

However, from May 1, there is a plan to increase electricity distribution tariffs, which may affect the overall expenses of households.
