President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky announced possible economic agreements between Russia and the United States worth 12 trillion dollars, which were discussed at a diplomatic level. The Ukrainian side is receiving some information about these agreements, but all the details remain unknown for now.
According to Zelensky, Russian representative Kirill Dmitriev, during a visit to the USA, presented the “Dmitriev package” related to economic cooperation on a large scale. The President of Ukraine does not rule out the possibility of signing documents between the USA and Russia. Ukraine is receiving certain signals in the media that these agreements could affect its sovereignty and security, but Kyiv emphasizes that it will not support any bilateral agreements concerning Ukraine without its participation.
Dmitriev regularly meets with US representatives; notably, on January 30, 2026, he visited the country for negotiations with Donald Trump’s team. Before that, on January 23, a meeting between the Russian and American sides took place, lasting about four hours. They also discussed the settlement of Russia’s war against Ukraine and Russia’s participation in the Peace Council.
