Zelensky responded to the anti-corruption scandal, blaming personnel policy
President Volodymyr Zelensky, during a meeting with the “Servant of the People” faction, stated that he was not informed about the anti-corruption operation “Midas,” which caused widespread media resonance.
According to a member of the faction, Zelensky emphasized that the anti-corruption measures revealed flaws in personnel policy. The President expressed his readiness to cooperate with law enforcement to ensure a transparent review of the case related to audio recordings of Zelensky’s former business partner, Tymur Mindich, which involve dismissed ministers Herman Galushchenko and Svitlana Hrynchuk. Meanwhile, Zelensky did not comment on the possible involvement of the USA in the leak of the recordings.
There were also suggestions about the existence of new recordings that might mention the head of the President’s Office, Andriy Yermak. However, this information was discussed with extreme caution, considering the atmosphere of the meeting, which was marked by “mutual tolerance.” A deputy noted that the President promised to return to personnel issues after concluding critical international negotiations.
Additionally, the President made it clear that Andriy Yermak remains the head of the President’s Office by his decision, not by the faction’s initiative.
