Ukraine, together with Germany, has started drone production for the Armed Forces
President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky visited the new Ukrainian-German defense company Quantum Frontline Industries (QFI), where he received the first drone manufactured in Germany for the Ukrainian armed forces.
The creation of drone production at the newly established enterprise in Germany became possible thanks to the cooperation of the Ukrainian company Frontline Robotics with the German Quantum Systems. According to President Zelensky, this year the Armed Forces of Ukraine will receive 10,000 “Linza 3.0” drones, which will be produced by QFI.
The “Linza 3.0” drone was presented at the beginning of February 2026. The main advantages of this new version are an increased payload capacity of up to 4 kg, a tactical range of 15 km, and the ability to stay airborne for up to 60 minutes. The drone is also equipped with advanced navigation and stabilization systems that reduce the operator’s workload.
QFI CEO Matthias Lena emphasized that the company began production just two months after the announcement of the enterprise’s creation. He also noted that at least 10,000 drones are planned to be produced within the year, with further automated production expansion.
Experts note that the joint drone production project can significantly enhance Ukraine’s defense capabilities and serve as an important step in developing Ukraine’s military-industrial complex in cooperation with European partners.
