President Zelensky to hold consultations on a new head of the Office after returning to Ukraine
President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky announced that he will hold additional consultations on appointing a new head of the presidential Office after returning from his overseas trips. He made this statement during a joint briefing with French President Emmanuel Macron in Paris.
During the briefing, Zelensky noted that he has not yet decided on his choice of a replacement for Andriy Yermak, who has submitted his resignation. The President emphasized the importance of consultations he plans to conduct in Ukraine. The main focus will be on determining the direction of addressing tasks that will face the new head, particularly in the field of diplomacy or other significant areas.
On the morning of November 28, NABU and SAP conducted searches at Andriy Yermak’s premises as part of an investigation into a corruption case in the energy sector, which sources from the FT cited. Yermak declared “full cooperation” with the investigation and subsequently submitted his resignation, which Volodymyr Zelensky accepted. The President also announced the overhaul of his Office.
Appointing a new head of the presidential Office is an important decision that could influence the formation of Ukraine’s international and domestic political priorities. Experts indicate that this choice will be significant for the country’s future efforts and political strategy.
