Ilon Musk’s computer technologies are undergoing transformations: xAI merges with SpaceX under the new brand SpaceXAI. Musk announced that the division will focus on innovations in the field of artificial intelligence, which are already being implemented within SpaceX.
Elon Musk, the founder of xAI, announced the cessation of the company as a separate legal entity. This became known from his publication on the social network X. Instead of xAI, a direction named SpaceXAI will now operate, combining all SpaceX’s artificial intelligence products, including the already known chatbot Grok and other artificial intelligence models.
The idea of merging Musk’s companies is not new. Plans were considered back in January 2026 for the merger of SpaceX with Tesla or xAI in preparation for an IPO. Investors emphasized that the cooperation would open new horizons for combined technical solutions: for instance, SpaceX plans to launch data processing centers into orbit, which could enhance the capabilities of artificial intelligence.
In February, SpaceX announced the acquisition of xAI for $250 billion to create an integrated structure. However, this process was accompanied by a number of challenges: half of xAI’s co-founders left the company, indicating internal disagreements and problems with the flagship product—the Grok chatbot, which led to legal investigations.
From now on, analysts expect that SpaceXAI will provide a new impetus for innovations in the end product, especially considering the capabilities of Starlink satellite communication and the X platform. Further development and integration steps promise to be no less exciting as Musk continues to shape a new way for humanity to interact with technology.
