GigRadar, founded by Ukrainians, has acquired the Ukrainian freelance community Top Rated Club. This took place in the context of developing a new direction, Community & Academy, for the education and career development of freelancers.
GigRadar announced the acquisition of Top Rated Club (TRC), a Ukrainian freelance community, marking its second acquisition in 2025. This followed the integration of the AI startup platform Upsky. Founded in 2022, Top Rated Club unites over 1000 Ukrainian freelancers and agency owners working through the Upwork platform. Community members contribute a monthly fee for its development and receive business consultations and lectures from mentors.
According to Vadym Ovcharenko, CEO of GigRadar, acquiring TRC adds a “human dimension” to the company’s technological foundation. By merging with TRC, the company plans to develop a new direction – Community & Academy, which will promote learning, knowledge sharing, and career development for freelancers and agencies.
The combination of GigRadar’s technologies, such as analytics and automation, with TRC’s capabilities has already generated over $45 million in contracts on the Upwork platform. Analysts believe that this cooperation could significantly expand the prospects for freelancers and contribute to the structural development of the freelance market in Ukraine.
