Ukrainian company signed a memorandum with European arms manufacturer MBDA
The Ukrainian company “Ukrainian Armor” announced a strategic partnership with the European arms manufacturer MBDA. The cooperation covers the development of long-range strike systems and means of countering drones.
The signing of the memorandum took place on June 10 at the international aerospace exhibition ILA Berlin in Berlin, where CEO of “Ukrainian Armor” Vladyslav Belbas and Managing Director of MBDA in Germany Thomas Gottschild signed the agreement. The goal of the cooperation is to exchange technologies, develop joint programs, and implement new defense solutions, with the prospect of creating a joint venture.
Vladyslav Belbas emphasized that such a partnership will contribute to strengthening Ukraine’s defense capability and the development of domestic production. For its part, MBDA expressed readiness to support the Ukrainian defense industry and the development of autonomous manufacturing capabilities.
The Ukrainian side expects that the new technologies will provide the military with weapon models that will help gain an advantage on the battlefield. MBDA, in turn, is a leading developer of missile weapons and already supplies its complexes to more than 90 countries worldwide.
The signing of the memorandum is an important step in strengthening Ukraine’s defense capabilities, especially amid growing security challenges. Cooperation may also provide a boost for the development of new technologies, which may be applied in other countries as well.
