Ukraine Tech Conference Discusses Digital Challenges and Prospects for the Country

On October 8th, the Ukraine Tech Conference was held in Kyiv, bringing together leading IT industry experts, government officials, investors, and startups to discuss Ukraine’s digital future and its integration into the global market.

The event was organized under the auspices of the European Business Association and Diia.City.Union, aiming to address three key areas: Ukraine’s digital architecture, the implementation of artificial intelligence in business and government administration, and innovations in cybersecurity and defense technologies. Among the speakers were deputy ministers of defense and digital transformation of Ukraine, leaders of international tech companies, and EU diplomatic representatives.

The European Union Ambassador to Ukraine, Katarína Mathernová, highlighted the innovation and entrepreneurial spirit of Ukrainian companies, which can significantly contribute to closing the technology gap in the EU. Deputy Minister of Digital Transformation of Ukraine Oleksandr Bornyakov emphasized the importance of developing domestic AI solutions to reduce dependence on foreign technologies. The issues and potential in the development of cybersecurity, which has become critically important given the current geopolitical situation, were also discussed.

Conference participants debated the impact of artificial intelligence on the labor market, outlined opportunities for public-private collaboration in the digital economy, and discussed increasing the potential of Ukrainian Defense Tech.
