Ukraine’s Defense Forces control Rodynske despite false claims.
In response to Russian propagandists’ claims of control over the city of Rodynske, Ukraine’s Defense Forces stated that the city remains under Ukrainian control, despite the presence of a few enemy infantry on the outskirts.
In recent days, Russian media repeatedly claimed to have taken the city of Rodynske in the Pokrovsk District of Donetsk Oblast. However, the National Guard of Ukraine, specifically the “Jaguar” battalion of the “Chervona Kalyna” brigade, refuted these claims. Representatives of the “Azov” corps announced that the Defense Forces are actively clearing the area of enemy soldiers who occupied several abandoned buildings on the outskirts.
Representatives of the Ukrainian military showed footage of the “Jaguar” armored personnel carrier crew likely destroying Russian infantry. According to available data, clearing operations continue, with Defense Forces searching for and eliminating invaders attempting to raise Russian flags in the city.
Regarding the broader context, this is not the first instance of disinformation from Russian propaganda. For instance, on October 23, it was reported about the landing of enemy forces in Kherson, which was debunked, and on October 26, Ukraine’s General Staff confirmed that about 200 occupiers broke through to Pokrovsk, but were unable to advance further. President Volodymyr Zelensky also dismissed rumors about the encirclement of 5,000 Ukrainian Armed Forces in this direction.
The situation in Donbas remains tense but controlled by Ukraine’s Defense Forces. Experts emphasize the importance of maintaining information resilience in the face of conflict and continuing the fight against disinformation.
