New details about the death of the mobilized in Kyiv: doctors discovered blunt force trauma

Forensic examination determined that Roman Sopin died from a traumatic brain injury

Journalist Daria Trunova reported new details in the case of the death of Roman Sopin, who was mobilized in Kyiv. According to the forensic examination, before his death, the man received a blunt force trauma.

Daria Trunova, who is a friend of the deceased’s family, received the forensic examination report from Sopin’s lawyer. The document outlines the main causes of death: hemorrhage in the brain, fracture of the skull vault and base, closed traumatic brain injury, and blunt force trauma. The intention of the injury is not defined, but the journalist noted the possibility that the “blunt object” could refer to the floor. She is also awaiting further comments from the Kyiv City Territorial Center of Recruitment and Mobilization and the 71st Separate Ranger Brigade of the Air Assault Forces.

The case is being handled by the military prosecutor’s office, the State Bureau of Investigation, and the police. The police reported that no other signs of beating were found on the body, except for the closed traumatic brain injury. The head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Klymenko, took personal control of the case.

The territorial center of recruitment and the 71st brigade refuted information about the beating. According to their version, Sopin lost consciousness, after which he fell and heavily hit his head on the floor.
