Ukrainian intelligence eliminated Russian UAV operators in temporarily occupied Avdiivka
Fighters of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine struck the headquarters of Russian military in temporarily occupied Avdiivka, Donetsk region, eliminating the operators of unmanned aerial vehicles.
According to the press service of the Main Intelligence Directorate, Ukrainian intelligence discovered the headquarters of the Russian occupiers in a partially ruined building. This was the base of one of the most combat-ready structures of the Russian occupational army, known as “Rubicon”. This unit specializes in the use of unmanned systems, and the aggressor state spends significant resources on it.
After gathering the coordinates of the headquarters’ location, in the conditions of dense urban development, the Main Intelligence Directorate fighters launched an FP-2 drone, equipped with a 105-kilogram warhead. As a result of the strike, “Rubicon” officers and operators were eliminated.
This case is part of the ongoing attempts by Ukrainian forces to undermine the military capabilities of the Russian army in the temporarily occupied territories. On July 16, it was reported that the operators of the “Skat 350M” drones in the Zaporizhzhia region were eliminated, and on August 2, a car with occupiers was blown up in Melitopol, leading to the death of five Russian military personnel.
