Maintaining control over a strategically important road in Pokrovsk: the operation continues
The Armed Forces of Ukraine continue to clear the north of Pokrovsk, holding back the expansion of Russian military presence and maintaining control over the road connecting Pokrovsk and Rodynske. Meanwhile, the situation in Myrnohrad remains tense but under control.
As of November 3, active efforts continue in Pokrovsk to expel Russian occupiers. The 7th Air Assault Brigade of Ukraine notes that due to coordinated efforts, Ukrainian forces have halted the enemy’s advance in the northern part of the city. This has allowed the strategic road connecting Pokrovsk and Rodynske to be preserved, thwarting attempts by Russian forces to cut off transport links.
In recent days, conditions have been created in Pokrovsk to reinforce Ukrainian troops with both personnel and equipment. On November 2, Ukrainian armed forces managed to neutralize 19 Russian soldiers. The defenders are deploying more assault units and special forces to enhance operations.
A small number of Russian soldiers – approximately 10 – have been detected on the southeastern approaches to Myrnohrad. Defense forces are already working on their elimination. The military emphasizes increased coordination of actions and developed plans to stabilize the situation in the region.
Recall, on October 31, the Main Intelligence Directorate of Ukraine initiated an airborne operation in areas considered controlled by Russia. The operation is led by Kyrylo Budanov himself. The next day, the Ukrainian side refuted Russia’s claims of allegedly destroying an airborne group in Pokrovsk. By the end of November 1, it was confirmed that there was no encirclement of Pokrovsk and Myrnohrad, and special units continue to be engaged.
The tactical situation in Pokrovsk has been strengthened, improving positions in several residential neighborhoods, reports the Air Assault Troops.
