Ukrainian defense forces destroyed a military depot in Donetsk, Volgograd oil refinery, and facilities in Crimea.
On the night of November 6, Ukrainian defense forces successfully struck several important targets in temporarily occupied territories and in Russia, including a drone base in Donetsk and an oil refinery in Volgograd.
According to the commander’s message of the Drone Systems Forces, Robert Brovdi, a joint operation was carried out by the “Madjar’s Birds” brigade intelligence, Special Operations Forces, and missile and artillery forces. The meticulous operation lasted for months, and the target at the Donetsk airport was complex. Explosions and powerful repeated detonations were recorded at the drone depot.
Additionally, air forces struck the Volgograd oil refinery, causing a fire. This refinery processes 15.7 million tons of oil per year, which is 5.6% of the entire processing in Russia. In Crimea, three fuel storage facilities were hit. At the base in Hvardiyske, a hit affected fuel tanks, and at two bases in Simferopol, fires occurred.
This operation demonstrates the consistent efforts of Ukrainian forces to undermine the military capabilities of the enemy. Experts suggest that successes in such operations could impact the supply of resources and logistics of the adversary.
