Ukrainian Air Defense Improves Counteraction to Kamikaze Drones
The Ukrainian air defense is actively developing means to counter unmanned aerial vehicles, which continue to pose a serious threat to civilian infrastructure.
The enemy’s use of kamikaze drones, such as the Iranian “Shahed,” leaves a significant impact on Ukraine’s ability to ensure sky protection. These drones are relatively inexpensive to produce, allowing the enemy to conduct frequent and large-scale attacks, causing significant destruction and endangering civilian lives. Specialists and military personnel, who underestimated these drones at the beginning of the aggression, now consider them one of the greatest threats.
Experts note that the development of counteraction technologies, particularly the implementation of interceptor drones, allows the Ukrainian side to respond more effectively to challenges. Despite the high threat level, Ukraine is among the leaders in using and developing innovative solutions in the field of air defense.
According to analysts, in the current vision of the war, it is important not only to destroy enemy drones but also to economically demotivate the opponent. Thanks to new counteraction methods, there is a likelihood of reducing the effectiveness of drone attacks in the future.
