Samsung plans to increase the number of devices with Galaxy AI to 800 million by 2026
Samsung Electronics plans to increase the number of mobile devices with Galaxy AI features to 800 million units by 2026. This was announced by the co-chairman of the company, TM Roh, who stated that Samsung aims to integrate artificial intelligence into all its products and services.
Currently, Samsung has already implemented Galaxy AI in about 400 million mobile devices, including smartphones and tablets. According to TM Roh, the recognition of the Galaxy AI brand among users has increased to 80% from approximately 30% in a year. The main popularity is for search functions, while image editing, productivity, and translation tools are also in demand.
Samsung’s ambitions to regain its leadership position in the smartphone market have become particularly relevant after Apple surpassed the company in this position. In addition, Samsung plans to extend the integration of AI services to televisions and home appliances. Meanwhile, Roh noted that the global memory shortage may affect the company’s pricing policy due to the increased cost of chips.
In the third quarter of 2025, the company controlled almost two-thirds of the global foldable smartphone market, though it faces competition from Chinese manufacturers, including Huawei, and Apple, which is soon to release its first foldable smartphone. Samsung’s innovations are also important, such as the recent release of the Galaxy Z TriFold in December 2025.
