The massive bombing by Russia on Ukraine on December 6 cost $361 million
The Russian attack on December 6 on Ukrainian territory cost $361 million, reported the Southern Defense Forces. The military also calculated that this money could have solved many social problems within Russia.
During the night strike, Russian troops launched 653 drones worth about $15.5 million, three “Kinzhal” missiles for $36 million, 34 cruise missiles costing around $254 million, and 14 “Iskander-M” missiles totaling $56 million.
The defense forces provided examples of how these funds could have been used in Russia to improve its infrastructure and social conditions. With $361 million, 120 water treatment plants could have been built to provide drinking water to thousands of people, 1000 km of heating networks could have been replaced, or new homes could have been provided to 15,000 families. Additionally, this amount could have built six district hospitals with equipment or over 100 schools in villages.
“Once again, Russia proves it is willing to invest millions in missiles but not in its people,” the military noted.
During the attack, Russia destroyed the railway station in Fastiv and several electric trains. The city mayor stated that the station building will not be restored; instead, a new station will be built from scratch. As a result of this attack, Moldova requested emergency help from Romania for electricity supply, and in Ukraine, due to the destroyed infrastructure, stricter power outage schedules had to be implemented, with recovery taking several weeks.
