Zelenskyy rejected the possibility of concessions on the territorial issue
The President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyy, stated that the country has neither legal nor moral grounds to give up parts of its territory, highlighting the complex process of negotiations with international partners.
During a conversation with Ukrainian media, Zelenskyy noted that Ukrainian legislation, the Constitution, and international law prohibit the country from considering any concessions on the territorial issue. He emphasized the importance of maintaining territorial integrity as a key principle that Ukraine is obliged to adhere to. Meanwhile, the president noted that the United States might seek a compromise on this issue.
Experts believe that the loss of territories could have serious consequences for Ukraine, including security risks and weakening the country’s political positions on the international arena. The discussion of territorial issues remains a sensitive aspect of diplomatic efforts, requiring complex negotiations and finding common solutions.
