Anthropic presents Claude Tag: AI assistant for teamwork in Slack
Anthropic has announced a new tool, Claude Tag, which integrates into Slack for team collaboration using artificial intelligence.
Claude Tag is an innovative product that allows teams to involve artificial intelligence directly in the work environment. The tool is added to platforms such as Slack as a full-fledged member of the working group. The team can refer to it using @Claude, delegating various tasks that AI can independently break down into stages, use available resources, and return the result in the same discussion.
One of the key features of Claude Tag is its ability to remember the context of discussions, making communication easier. The AI can also take the initiative, reminding about unfinished tasks, and informing the team about important information. The tool operates asynchronously, allowing users to set tasks and receive results while continuing their own activities.
The new model, based on Opus 4.8, will replace the previous version of Claude for Slack and will be available for migration over the next 30 days. Additionally, administrators can clearly control Claude’s access to specific channels, tools, and data, as well as set token expenditure limits.
The implementation of Claude Tag involves a few simple steps: connecting to Slack, granting necessary access, setting monthly spending limits, and testing in a private channel. After that, employees can immediately start using the service for team task execution.
Anthropic, founded in 2021, already actively uses Claude Tag in its operations: according to company reports, about 65% of the product team’s code is generated with its help. Additionally, the tool is used for data analysis and customer support.
