Ukraine prepares for new negotiations with the USA and Russia to end the war

A new round of negotiations between Ukraine, the USA, and Russia will take place on February 4–5 in Abu Dhabi. President Volodymyr Zelensky confirmed Ukraine’s readiness for productive dialogue to achieve final peace.

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky emphasized that Ukraine is interested in the real end of the war and is ready for substantive discussions. US representatives expressed optimism about the previous talks held on January 23 at the same location, describing them as more constructive than expected.

US Secretary of State Marco Rubio reported that future negotiations would focus on bilateral meetings between Ukraine and Russia, emphasizing the importance of resolving the territorial conflict issue. At a meeting on January 31 in Florida, the US special envoy expressed hope for positive changes in dialogue between the two countries.

These negotiations are part of the ongoing conflict resolution process, in which Russia invaded Ukraine. Both sides are discussing an end to the war and Russia’s participation in the Peace Council. The previous meetings lasted several hours, focused on finding ways to achieve peace.
