Updated “Army+” App: Digital ID and New Information Platform
The Ministry of Defense of Ukraine has presented the updated “Army+” app for military personnel, which now includes a digital defender’s ID and a new information channel.
The key technical improvement in the new version of “Army+” is the expanded Army ID. This allows military personnel to confirm their status through a secure QR code, significantly simplifying the verification procedure at checkpoints and in other everyday situations. Although the app doesn’t replace traditional paper documents, it becomes an important tool for digital identification.
A standout feature of the new functionality is the “Pulse” information feed, which serves as a verified channel for official advice, current news, and clarifications. This innovation allows the military to avoid unverified sources and access reliable information.
Additionally, the app has undergone changes in architecture and design. Developers have revised the interface to facilitate access to popular services known as “Pluses.” A section for displaying important messages and the history of report statuses has also been added, making the platform use more convenient and efficient.
Experts emphasize that these innovations contribute to improving interaction between the military and state structures, as well as enhancing communication efficiency within the military community.
