Meta unveiled the gaming app Pocket for creating mini-projects using AI.

Meta has introduced a new app called Pocket for creating interactive games and applications.

Meta has launched Pocket, an application for creating small interactive apps and games using artificial intelligence. This marks another step in the strategy of developing AI-based creative tools.

TechCrunch reported that Meta has not officially announced the launch of Pocket, which could indicate an experimental stage of the project. Pocket is positioned as a “creative platform for creating and distributing so-called ‘gizmos’ — interactive elements that can be created within the system.”

Besides generation tools, Pocket offers a news feed for browsing and interacting with other users’ projects. The appearance of Pocket became possible due to Meta’s acquisition of the Gizmo game platform team earlier in the year. The official release of Pocket on the App Store and Google Play took place on June 29, 2026, but the exact number of downloads is currently unknown.

According to TechCrunch, the launch of Pocket is part of Meta’s broader strategy for integrating AI creativity tools. The company previously released an image creation tool, Meta AI, and a video generator, Vibes. Additionally, at the end of June, Meta updated Creator Studio and turned it into a standalone app with a built-in AI assistant to help content creators grow their audience on Facebook.

Interestingly, Meta’s Threads app recently reached 500 million active monthly users, motivating the company to introduce new features in this app.
