Ukraine has launched a health screening program for citizens over 40 years old
Starting from January 30, Ukraine has launched the state program “Health Screening 40+”, aimed at providing free medical examinations for Ukrainians over 40 years old. Funding will be credited to the “Diia” card.
Prime Minister Yuliia Svyrydenko announced that all Ukrainians who have reached the age of 40 will receive a notification in the “Diia” app 30 days after their birthday. To participate in the program, it is necessary to confirm willingness in the app, after which the funds for the examination will be credited to the “Diia” card within seven days. Those who do not use the app are offered to apply for a plastic card at a partner bank by contacting the Administrative Services Center to submit an application.
The program allows for the assessment of health conditions and timely identification of cardiovascular diseases, diabetes, and mental disorders risks. More than 900 medical institutions, including community and private ones, have joined the initiative and are ready to accept patients. The updated list of institutions is available on the Ministry of Health’s website.
Svyrydenko noted that the program is focused on the early detection of diseases that significantly impact the lifespan and quality of life of Ukrainians. The government has been implementing the program since December 19, when the order for its implementation was approved.
