Ukraine asks the United States to help restrict the supply of foreign components for Russian missiles
President Volodymyr Zelensky, during a meeting with the U.S. Secretary of the Army Daniel Driscoll in Kyiv, urged the United States to assist Ukraine in identifying and blocking schemes for the supply of foreign components for Russian missiles. This issue became relevant after Russia’s attack on Ternopil on November 19.
Zelensky noted that the Kh-101 missile, which hit an ordinary apartment building, was manufactured in 2025 and contained 175 foreign components that reach Russia bypassing sanctions. Ukraine has been provided with information on manufacturing companies, countries of origin, and the components themselves, hoping for U.S. support in limiting such schemes.
The meeting also discussed a new U.S. peace plan, including options for achieving sustainable peace and impulses for the development of diplomacy. Zelensky emphasized that both Ukrainian and American parties are ready for constructive and prompt cooperation.
Meanwhile, emergency rescue operations continue in Ternopil following the Russian attack. The death toll has risen to 28, including three children. A total of 94 people have been affected, including 18 children. Rescuers have removed the body of another person from the rubble, and 14 people remain missing.
