Kyrylo Budanov received US support for his appointment as head of the Presidential Office

Kyrylo Budanov, who was appointed as head of the Presidential Office, gained US support thanks to his experience working with Western partners. This is one of the key factors influencing his appointment.

During the first one hundred days in the position, Budanov established close ties with American officials, which many experts believe played a decisive role in his appointment. In particular, sources from Ukraine’s Main Intelligence Directorate note that his international contacts and skills were significant arguments in favor of his candidacy. However, the “Servant of the People” party does not consider that the US insisted on his appointment, although they agree that these aspects were considered by President Zelensky in making the decision.

The chairman of the Verkhovna Rada’s Foreign Affairs Committee, Oleksandr Merezhko, confirmed that the tone of American negotiators became more positive. Additionally, he noted a decrease in the number of radical statements from the American side. Satisfaction with Budanov’s work was also expressed by the head of state, noting that the main task of the negotiations is the end of the war.

Amidst these events, Kyrylo Budanov stated that Russia is seeking a compromise to end the war but has not abandoned its demands regarding Donbas, which are unacceptable for Ukraine.
