Ukraine and Lithuania have announced the launch of a joint program, Brave Lithuania, aimed at supporting innovation and implementing new solutions in the defense sector. This was announced by Ukrainian Prime Minister Yuliya Svyrydenko following the NATO-Ukraine forum.
The Brave Lithuania program brings together the efforts of the Ministry of National Defense of Lithuania, the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, and the Brave1 cluster to accelerate the creation of technologies that can become critically important on the battlefield. The main focus areas include unmanned systems, electronic warfare means, artificial intelligence, and communication systems. These technologies will have a significant impact on the defense capabilities of both countries.
The Ukrainian defense industry is actively developing, particularly, since 2022, production capabilities have increased 50 times, from $1 billion to $50 billion. This growth underscores the importance of international cooperation in technological development.
The Brave Lithuania program follows initiatives like Brave Germany, which was signed on May 12, 2026. This collaboration with Germany aims to develop defense technologies such as laser systems and solutions in the field of secure communication, which are of great importance in the conditions of modern conflicts.
