Swedish company Front Ventures raised about €5 million for investment in Defense Tech startups in Ukraine and Sweden

Front Ventures raised €5 million for the development of defense technologies in Ukraine and Sweden.

The Swedish investment company Front Ventures announced the raising of €5 million through an additional share issuance. The raised funds will be directed towards expanding the portfolio of defense technologies, particularly in Ukraine and Sweden.

The demand for Front Ventures shares exceeded supply by 278%. The main shareholders of the company participated in the financing, including CEO Jonas Malmgren and board member Johan Lund. Roglar Holding also participated. According to Tech.eu, the size of investment per project within the new financing will range from €200,000 to €2.5 million.

Front Ventures was founded in 2012 and specializes in investments in the defense industry and fintech sector. Among other interests of the company were fintech, corporate software, and blockchain, but the strategic focus was shifted to defense technologies in the future. The company’s portfolio already includes companies like Black Forest System, SkyHunter, Aeromotors, and others.

To reinforce its presence in Ukraine, in March 2026, Front Ventures opened an office in Lviv. It will be headed by lawyer Nazar Shestopalov, who will be responsible for communication with the authorities on import, export, and obtaining necessary permits.
