A missile strike by Russia destroyed the “Flamingo” production line, but it has already been relocated – president

Ukraine faced the need to increase the production of “Flamingo” missiles after losing one of its production lines due to a Russian missile strike.

President Volodymyr Zelensky announced the destruction of the “Flamingo” cruise missile production line as a result of a Russian missile strike. This incident occurred during his speech at the Munich Security Conference, highlighting the importance of restoring production for Ukraine’s defense capability.

Zelensky noted that there are not many “Flamingo” missiles yet, but they have already successfully operated against territories from which Russia launches “Oreshnik” ballistic missiles. The President emphasized the need to increase missile production to support the state’s defense potential. “We had technical problems. One of our large production lines was destroyed. However, we have already relocated production and partially restored it,” Zelensky assured.

It is important to note that the “Flamingo” missile program has strategic significance for Ukraine. It involves long-range ground-to-ground cruise missiles with a range of up to 3000 km and a speed of about 900 km/h, capable of striking important military and infrastructure targets of the enemy.

Analysts note that in response to events, Ukraine is focusing efforts on identifying and destroying enemy infrastructure, which may now become a defining strategy in the confrontation. This decision not only significantly reduces the opponent’s defense potential but also increases Ukraine’s combat readiness amid the ongoing confrontation.
