The Defeat of NATO Forces in a Day: Ukrainian Armed Forces Demonstrated Victory Over the Alliance During Exercises – Video

Ukrainian drone operators achieved victory over NATO during exercises in 2025.

Ukrainian military successfully practiced drone tactics during joint exercises with NATO in May 2025. This allowed to identify the Alliance’s weaknesses in conducting high-intensity modern warfare.

During the Hedgehog-2025 exercises in Estonia, where over 16,000 military personnel from 12 NATO countries participated, the Ukrainian team demonstrated high efficiency in drone operations. The group included drone operators from the 412th Nemesis and 427th Rarog brigades, as well as representatives from the International Legion of the Main Intelligence Directorate and the digital DELTA system. The task of the Ukrainian operators was to test strategies for implementing new technologies in combat operations, which became a key point in the Alliance’s preparation for the Russian threat.

Coordinator of unmanned aerial systems of the Estonian Defense League, Aivar Hanniotti, acknowledged that the exercises revealed significant tactical shortcomings on NATO’s part. He noted that Ukrainian military forces destroyed two NATO battalions in a day, significantly limiting their combat capability. Several observers of the exercises in NATO expressed concern about these results, considering them a challenge for further improvement of the Alliance’s tactical approaches.
