After the attacks in Kyiv and Kharkiv, thousands of homes are without heating, and in the Odesa and Vinnytsia regions, without electricity.

Kyiv and Odesa region left without heat and electricity again after Russian attacks

As a result of another wave of combined strikes by Russia, restoration works are underway in Kyiv and the Odesa region. Thousands of people have been left without heat and electricity due to infrastructure damage.

Following a massive missile and drone attack by Russian forces on Kyiv, Mayor Vitali Klitschko reported that the Darnytskyi and Dniprovskyi districts were significantly left without heat. As of the morning, 1,170 high-rise buildings in the capital remain without heating. Utility services and energy workers have already started repair works to eliminate the consequences of the strike.

In the Odesa region, attacks affected energy and civilian infrastructure in the south of the region. More than 50,000 residents were left without power. Additionally, three residential buildings, as well as warehouse and administrative premises and passenger cars, were damaged.

Furthermore, according to Natalia Zabolotna, head of the Vinnytsia Regional Military Administration, 50 settlements were left without electricity as a result of the attack, and fires broke out at critical infrastructure facilities.

Minister of Community and Territorial Development Oleksiy Kuleba mentioned that after the attack in Kharkiv, heating was disrupted for 110,000 subscribers, while in the Lozova district, more than 15,000 subscribers were left without heat.

In Kyiv, emergency power outages have been introduced in the Darnytskyi and Dniprovskyi districts, and schedules of outages are in place on the right bank of the capital, as reported by DTEK. The company adds that their thermal power plants were once again shelled, causing significant equipment damage.
