Ukraine, USA and Europe start developing a new peace plan
President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky announced that Kyiv, Washington and European partners are working on a new peace plan aimed at ending the war in Ukraine. He stated this in his daily address, emphasizing the common goal with the international community.
During his speech, Zelensky noted that the American delegation provided Ukraine with its proposals and vision of a peaceful resolution to the conflict. “Since the first days of the war, we strive to achieve peace that will ensure security and respect for our independence,” he emphasized. The President highlighted the importance of real and honest work on the document, involving a wide range of international partners.
At the same time, Zelensky reported on active contacts with European leaders, including the presidents of Finland and France, and expressed the intention to talk with the US president soon. He noted that American support is crucial for achieving peace in Ukraine. “We recognize the strength of America and do not want to lose this support,” Zelensky added.
Despite diplomatic efforts, Zelensky noted that Russia does not show a desire for peace. The President reminded that Russian actions over the past year have been aimed at delaying sanctions and prolonging the conflict. He emphasized that the United States can help change this situation.
Negotiations are ongoing amid rumors of a possible secret plan between the USA and Russia, which allegedly involves territorial concessions by Ukraine. The White House press secretary denied the existence of such a document, stressing that negotiations involve all interested parties. Euro diplomats emphasize the obligatory participation of Ukraine and Europe in all peace agreements.
