Ukrainian startup Sky Hunter has raised $4 million in a pre-seed investment round
Ukrainian company Sky Hunter, specializing in the development of drone interceptor technologies, has completed an investment round amounting to 4 million dollars, confirmed by international investors.
Sergiy Nazarov, founder and CEO of Sky Hunter, noted that the deal was formalized with a Ukrainian legal entity. Funding was provided by Swedish funds Front Ventures and Hede Capital Partners, as well as one anonymous investor. The company’s main product is an application for directing interceptor drones to enemy targets. This unique solution simplifies the task for specialists, allowing the automation of device movements based on radar data in real time.
Once the target is set, the drones autonomously approach enemy objects, providing visual contact at a distance of 200-300 meters, significantly simplifying the interception process compared to traditional manual control.
Sky Hunter will use the received investments for research and development and product improvement, thanks in part to feedback from units of the Ukrainian Defense Forces. The company currently employs up to 15 specialists but plans to expand the staff to 50 people within the year. Particular emphasis will be placed on attracting embedded developers.
In addition to private investments, in 2025 Sky Hunter received grant support from the defense cluster Brave1. They plan to develop a solution for full guidance, which will allow automating the entire cycle of intercepting enemy objects. This could become an important step in strengthening Ukraine’s defense capabilities.
