The Ukrainian startup OSIRIS AI has received investments from a foreign partner for the development of unmanned systems. Although the amount of the deal is not disclosed, the attracted funds will contribute to the development of autonomy technologies for drones.
OSIRIS AI, which specializes in innovative solutions in the Defense Tech field, is working on creating an advanced operating system for drones called OSIRIS DroneOS. This platform is based on Embedded Linux and Docker/OCI container architecture, allowing unmanned systems not only to operate autonomously but also to process data in real-time. The system integrates with a wide range of hardware solutions, supporting PX4 and MAVLink protocols, ensuring its smooth operation with most modern drones. An important feature is 256-bit communication encryption, which makes the platform reliable for defense applications. Additionally, OSIRIS DroneOS is equipped with its own App Store and cloud analytics for artificial intelligence.
OSIRIS AI’s products can change the rules of the game in the field of autonomous platforms, especially for use in complex conditions. According to the company’s CEO, their goal is to create a unified ecosystem for unmanned aerial vehicles (UAV) and counter-UAV systems (C-UAV), which can eliminate the need for constant human intervention. This approach resembles the model by which Android unified the mobile market.
Investments in OSIRIS AI are an important step in the development of Ukrainian technological innovations. Considering global trends in the development of unmanned technologies, such solutions can have far-reaching implications for the defense strategies of many countries.
