Ukraine summarizes the results of the 2025 harvest and makes forecasts for 2026.

Ukrainian agrarians have harvested over 52 million tons of grain, ensuring the country’s food security. This result allows Ukraine to remain an important guarantor of global food security.

As of November 28, Ukraine has harvested 52.58 million tons of grain from 10.42 million hectares, which represents 89% of the planted areas. In particular, 22.96 million tons of wheat, 5.42 million tons of barley, 672.5 thousand tons of peas, and 22.48 million tons of corn, accounting for 75% of the planted areas for this crop. According to the Ministry of Economy, Environment, and Agriculture, Khmelnytskyi, Chernihiv, and Vinnytsia regions became the leaders in harvested crop volumes.

At the same time, 17.08 million tons of oilseeds have been harvested, including 9.02 million tons of sunflower from 93% of the planted areas, 4.74 million tons of soybeans — 97% of the areas, and the rapeseed harvest has already been completed. Sugar beets have been harvested from 97% of the plan, totaling 10.27 million tons.

Deputy Minister of Economy Taras Vysotsky emphasized that Ukraine plans to export about two-thirds of the harvest. This confirms Ukraine’s role as a reliable partner in ensuring global food security and strengthens its position in the export market. Additionally, a significant portion of the production will be processed domestically, creating added value.

Ukrainian agrarians have completed the sowing campaign of winter crops on an area of 6.43 million hectares, maintaining an emphasis on wheat, which traditionally forms the basis of food security. The structure of sowing areas remains stable compared to last year, laying the groundwork for the 2026 harvest.
