Ukraine and Estonia have signed a defense cooperation agreement in the format of a Drone Deal.

Ukraine and Estonia have signed a bilateral agreement on joint arms production.

Ukraine and Estonia signed an agreement called Drone Deal, which aims to develop joint military production and accelerate interaction in the field of defense. The document was signed during the NATO summit in Ankara.

Drone Deal provides for the creation of joint military production on the territory of both countries, including air defense systems. President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky emphasized the importance of this tool for strengthening security and cooperation between countries. In NATO ranks, this initiative found support: Ukraine has already concluded similar agreements with Latvia and Lithuania.

The concept of Drone Deal was first introduced in 2026, when Ukraine decided to propose a new format of cooperation in the field of security. It is known that this agreement includes the use of drones, air defense systems, and electronic warfare systems, created to protect against massive attacks. The idea became relevant against the backdrop of escalating situations in the Middle East.

In addition to Estonia, Ukraine has already concluded similar agreements with Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Qatar, and Azerbaijan. Ukraine plans to sign similar agreements with at least seven NATO countries by the end of 2026, confirming its role in strengthening regional and international security.
