Trust and Reputation: The Foundations Supporting DeepState Today – an Interview with Project Co-founder Roman Pohorilyi on RESTART

Project DeepState: from Telegram channel to international recognition

Over the years, the analytical tool DeepState has evolved from a modest Telegram channel to a large-scale project with international authority. The co-founder of the project, Roman Pohorily, shared the development journey of DeepState and the challenges the team had to overcome.

The idea of DeepState originated from a simple desire to monitor the movements of Russian troops, initially attracting the attention of Telegram channel users. After the full-scale invasion of Ukraine began, the project gained significant popularity. The first prototype of the map was created on the Google platform, but after the blocking, the team created its own website and gradually expanded its audience.

Over time, the project transformed into a platform with over a hundred employees engaged in processing and verifying information, focusing on data accuracy. OSINT analytics play a special role, allowing for the provision of accurate and substantiated data to military personnel and other users.

The project regularly collaborates with international media, a great example of which was the case of the offensive in Kursk when DeepState was perceived as an important source of information. Protection against fake news is an essential component, so the team involves various specialists to ensure data authenticity.

In the future, DeepState plans to expand its capabilities by updating the map, creating legal consulting and OSINT projects for the international market. An important achievement is a grant from Brave 1 for creating the “Colossal” OSINT system, which opens new horizons for the project.

Stage Description Timeframe

DeepState continues to maintain a high level of trust due to its independence and promptness in providing truthful information, confirming its important role in today’s conditions.
