The Cabinet of Ministers Changed the Rules for Reserving Employees of Critically Important Enterprises
The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has adopted a resolution that allows the cancellation of conscript reservations without retaining the terms and automatically. The changes apply to employees of critically important enterprises that have lost their status.
Resolution No.1608 of December 8, 2025, stipulates that if a company loses its critically important status, the reservation of its employees can be canceled immediately. Member of Parliament Oleksandr Fediyenko explains that if an enterprise loses its status or another reason arises, conscription deferment may be revoked without waiting for the stipulated terms.
Additionally, new categories for reservation have been added to the resolution: The Red Cross Society of Ukraine and Ukrainian non-governmental organizations implementing humanitarian projects funded by international partners. Furthermore, increasing the limit of reserved employees beyond 50% is now possible only with the permission of the Interdepartmental Working Group, whereas previously the decision was solely dependent on the Ministry of Defense.
These innovations are part of larger-scale reforms in the field of mobilization readiness and respond to contemporary security challenges. According to experts, such changes will ensure more flexible management of human resources and allow more effective responses to critical situations.
