The Ukrainian company TAF Industries announced the start of production of new ground robotic complexes (GRC) “Legit”, which are already used by the Armed Forces of Ukraine at the frontline. This is a company project aimed at strengthening the country’s defense capability.
The GRC “Legit” have gained great functionality: they are capable of performing a wide range of tasks from logistics and reconnaissance to supporting offensive operations. Thanks to the modular approach, the systems can be quickly adapted to specific combat tasks, including working in fortifications or performing kamikaze functions.
TAF Industries presented two modifications of the complex: “Legit S1” and “Legit L1”. The compact “Legit S1” is distinguished by high mobility, while “Legit L1” offers enhanced configuration capabilities and increased power. Both models support various communication systems — from LTE and Starlink to fiber-optic connection and specialized military systems ERLS and Crossfire.
As for technical characteristics, “Legit S1” can cover up to 22 km on paved roads and up to 21 km on off-road terrain, working up to two hours without interruption. The maximum speed it can reach is 25 km/h. The “Legit L1” model has a range of up to 30 km on roads and up to 26 km on off-road terrain, works up to 2.5 hours and is equipped with GPS navigation.
Such developments emphasize the growing technological competence of the Ukrainian military industry. According to company representatives, both models have already received official coding from the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, meaning they can be officially used in military operations.
Amid these achievements, it is worth mentioning that in April 2026, TAF Industries signed an agreement with Finnish Summa Defence to create a joint venture to ensure the production of defense products in Finland for Ukraine.
| Model | Range (km on roads) | Range (km off-road) | Working time (hours) | Maximum speed (km/h) |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Legit S1 | 22 | 21 | 2 | 25 |
| Legit L1 | 30 | 26 | 2.5 | 22 |
