Startup of the Day: VITA325 — an online platform for remote systematic rehabilitation

Startup VITA325 develops a system for remote patient rehabilitation

Ukrainian startup VITA325 is creating a platform for remote rehabilitation, aimed at helping patients after amputations, strokes, and other movement disorders. The system allows patients to undergo rehabilitation at home, while doctors can track progress through objective data.

Founded by Yuliya Koynak, VITA325 aims to make quality rehabilitation accessible regardless of patients’ place of residence. A team of eight people, in partnership with clinics, is implementing a platform that analyzes patients’ movements, generates reports on functional status, personalizes the rehabilitation program, and monitors exercise compliance.

The platform went from idea to first testing in eight months, with over 250 clinical sessions conducted. VITA325 is currently running pilots in Odesa and Poland, focusing on the international market. The platform operates in a free mode for algorithm validation, with artificial intelligence accuracy from 80% to 90%.

Despite competition from companies like OneStep, VITA325 considers its model unique due to partnerships with clinics. The startup has attracted $123,000 in grant funds and $160,000 from angel investors and is now seeking an additional $500,000 and strategic partnership with medical institutions and the state.

Currently, the Ukrainian rehabilitation market faces a humanitarian crisis: according to the National Health Service of Ukraine, about 100,000 out of a million veterans need rehabilitation, but only a small percentage of hospitals have the necessary equipment.
