In the Rostov region, damage to a power transmission tower was recorded at night due to a suspected drone attack. Repairs are planned to start only in daylight.

According to the governor of the Rostov region, Yuri Slyusarev, on the night of December 6, drones were destroyed by air defense forces in the Kamensky, Chortkovsky, and Sholokhovsky districts. Despite this, in the Sholokhovsky district on the outskirts of the village of Kolundayevsky, a power line tower was damaged, leaving 250 residents without electricity. Repair work will begin after dawn.

These events occur against the backdrop of statements by the governor of the Saratov region, Roman Gussarov, about possible drone attacks on the region, in particular, explosions were heard in the city of Engels, where a Russian airbase with strategic bombers Tu-160 and Tu-95MS is located. A local oil depot was also likely attacked.

According to the Russian Ministry of Defense, 77 drones were shot down overnight, 42 of which were over the territory of the Saratov region and 12 over the territory of the Rostov region. Earlier, on December 5, attacks were recorded on targets in Syzran and the sea port of Kuban, and on December 6, the General Staff confirmed damage to the Ryazan oil refinery and a factory for the production of shell casings.
