Kharkiv startup Lobby9 launches a social platform with an AI assistant for gamers
The Ukrainian startup Lobby9 is creating a platform for gamers with an integrated AI assistant, already gathering over 60,000 users on the waitlist. The project became part of The Residency, a program under the aegis of OpenAI CEO Sam Altman.
Lobby9 offers gamers not only a social space for exchanging experiences and finding a team but also an AI assistant that teaches 100% game completion, helping to unlock hidden content, search for optimal tactics for boss fights, as well as select builds and strategies. The platform will provide users with the ability to choose games from Steam, Epic Games, PlayStation, and Xbox stores.
The founders emphasize that their startup is Ukrainian, and one of its goals is to integrate the Ukrainian gaming community into the global market. A loyalty system is planned, where players can exchange earned points for physical prizes or discounts. The primary target audience is the United States, which accounts for about half of all platform views.
The launch of the full version of the product is expected at the end of 2026. Currently, the team maintains communication with players who received early access for testing the platform. This allows for improving the product based on feedback.
The Residency is an accelerator program, where out of 1600 startups, only 50 were selected, and Lobby9 became one of them. The program provides an opportunity to receive investments from partner funds, as well as integration into the Silicon Valley startup scene. Participation in such programs helps startups gather valuable experience and connections needed for successful development.
The Lobby9 team advises startups to apply for similar programs repeatedly, improving their presentations and strategies. The first attempt is not always successful, but persistence can lead to the desired success.
