Denmark has increased its contribution to the Energy Support Fund of Ukraine by EUR 10.66 million. The total amount of aid from this country is EUR 78.5 million.
The press service of the Ministry of Energy of Ukraine reported that Denmark made a new contribution to the Energy Support Fund of Ukraine, equivalent to DKK 80 million. Denmark was one of the first countries to join the support of the fund in 2022. This is part of a broader international initiative in which partners announced additional contributions totaling nearly EUR 170 million in June.
In particular, Sweden has previously joined the fund with EUR 126 million, Norway with EUR 43 million, Iceland with EUR 0.55 million, and Estonia with EUR 0.125 million. Overall, the fund has already received almost EUR 1.94 billion in grants.
Support from Denmark and other states contributes to the stabilization of Ukraine’s energy system. This is of great importance in light of the energy challenges that the country faces in transitioning to a more sustainable and secure energy infrastructure.
