“Cirkon” and the damaged Azerbaijani embassy: Zelensky reported on a new Russian attack.

Massive Missile Attack by Russia on Ukraine: Diplomatic Representation Damaged

In the night of November 14, Russia launched a massive attack on Ukraine, firing 19 missiles and about 430 drones, resulting in the death of four people and damage to the Azerbaijani embassy in Kyiv.

Volodymyr Zelensky reported that during the attack, Russia used various types of missiles, including one hypersonic Zircon missile, which was reportedly used in the Sumy region. The president noted that the attack aimed to inflict maximum damage on the peaceful population and civilian infrastructure. In Kyiv, the Azerbaijani embassy was affected by fragments of an Iskander missile, several apartment buildings were damaged, three people were killed, and 26 others were injured.

The main blow was inflicted on the capital of Ukraine, but shelling was also recorded in the Kyiv, Kharkiv, Odesa, Poltava, and Cherkasy regions. According to the military, a powerful explosion was heard in the Sumy region in the morning, likely caused by the impact of a Zircon missile. As a result of the explosion, the asphalt pavement was damaged, and a fire hydrant burst, causing a water leak.

The head of the Sumy City Military Administration, Serhiy Kryvosheyenko, clarified that a missile strike occurred on the outskirts of the city in the morning, but there were no casualties or injuries as a result. Due to the damage to the road, traffic is temporarily restricted.

Responsibly considering the potential threat from hypersonic missiles such as the Zircon, Ukraine is trying to strengthen its air defense systems. According to the air forces, 14 out of 19 missiles and 405 out of 430 drones involved in the attack were shot down.

Analysts note that such attacks represent a serious challenge to the security of the region, as they indicate the enemy’s ability to deliver high-tech strikes on critical infrastructure objects, which could lead to serious economic consequences for the country.

Type of Missile Quantity Shot Down
