The defense startup Chariot has raised $34 million in a Series A funding round. The main investor was Andreessen Horowitz. This funding will allow the company to expand production and develop software platforms.
The event was attended by renowned investors such as General Catalyst, XYZ Venture Capital, as well as new funds including DCVC and Shield Capital. The total amount of investment raised, including previous stages, reached $41 million.
Among the key areas of development that Chariot plans to implement are increasing the production of the Amphora 24 and Amphora 400 energy systems. The company also intends to create a software platform for energy management, control, and distribution. Additionally, there are plans for expanding the team of engineers and developers.
Chariot specializes in developing mobile energy solutions for military units, providing autonomous power supply for drones, sensors, communication, and control systems. Their products are already actively used by US Army units and the Defense Innovation Unit (DIU), as well as commercial clients. In less than a year, Chariot has progressed from the “quiet” stage to initial contracts and military training exercises.
