A portal for investment in defense technologies has been launched in Ukraine
The web portal “ZBROYA.Investments” has commenced operations in Ukraine, aimed at supporting producers and developers of defense technologies in finding investors for scaling. This was reported by the advisor to the Minister of Defense, Hanna Hvozdiar.
The tool is designed to improve communication between innovators of defense technologies and potential investors. “Our goal is to establish a transparent connection between those who create technologies and those willing to invest in them, as without scaling innovations, advantages on the battlefield cannot be achieved,” Hvozdiar stated.
The platform will be beneficial for various participant categories: developers of drones, software, as well as manufacturers of ammunition and components. Priority areas include radio-electronic warfare, robotics, artificial intelligence, communication, cybersecurity, and autonomous platforms.
To apply for funding, developers and manufacturers need to fill out a short application. If the project is deemed promising, its authors can be connected with potential investors through a partner network.
This step aligns with government efforts to enhance defense capabilities: the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine recently simplified the procedure for modernizing aircraft to more effectively counter drones. Now, the installation of additional weaponry and systems on aircraft will take less than one month.
