Opera Introduces the Neon Browser for Active Artificial Intelligence Users
Opera has launched a new browser, Neon, specially designed for users who actively utilize artificial intelligence technologies. This is the company’s first browser capable of performing actions on behalf of the user, providing new opportunities for organizing workflows and managing information.
Opera Neon operates on a task-based model, allowing the creation of workspaces where artificial intelligence can analyze data from various sources and perform complex tasks. Users can plan trips or conduct research on scientific topics using the integrated tools Neon Chat and Neon Do. For example, these tools can gather data, open necessary web pages, create comparison tables, or even make online orders.
A standout feature is Cards—query enhancers that help execute tasks more precisely, such as highlighting key points during meetings or creating action lists. Additionally, the browser integrates the Make tool for creating websites, videos, reports, and games using AI, with options for further editing and sharing.
Neon also boasts additional features like an ad blocker and VPN, and its basic AI functionalities are reminiscent of previous Opera browser versions. Currently, access to the innovative browser is limited to participants of the Neon Founders program, who pre-registered on the waiting list. The monthly subscription costs $19.99.
